A Custom Wood Medallion: For When Just Plaster Won't Do

Sometimes a job requires something unique that no stock product will provide. Woodcrafters of Virginia came to us with an inspiration photo with their customer’s dining room medallion. It was quite unique, and we had was close enough to the desired look. We were forced to develop this medallion as an entirely custom piece.   We took their photo and drew a design in CAD, pulling from the styles and shapes of our existing products. Custom Valance for Bath Vanity

White River built the above custom valance in our custom shop. The piece is designed to fit between two cabinets above the vanity sink. Primarily made of poplar, it also includes flexible resin and maple carvings. Our customer found a hand drawing in our literature and simply fell in love with the style. We adapted it to fit their job site conditions and emulate the style of the room. The White River Design Team utilized all stock products. This enabled a quick and cost-effective assembly. Creating a Custom Carved Column for Cabinetry

White River specializes in the creation of custom mouldings and woodcarvings. We were approached by Busby Cabinets of Alachua, Florida about applying one of the motifs from our handcarved mouldings to the design of a custom carved cabinet leg.IMG_1645 resizedThe sides of the leg were edged with three scrolls, the barrel sides of which formed the face.
