Traditional Keystone

SKU KEY031-POPLAR · 4″ w × 4-1/2″ h × 1″ d

Solid Poplar · Milled in Fayetteville, Arkansas · Unfinished

Traditional Keystone at 4″ w × 4-1/2″ h × 1″ d, milled from kiln-dried Poplar. Sits at the head of a door or window casing where the two legs meet — a keystone replaces the mitered joint and adds a focal point. Fits casings up to 13/16 x 2 1/2 - 3 1/2.

Made in the USA · Kiln-Dried Poplar · Ships Unfinished

The blocks are where a trim job stops looking assembled and starts looking designed.

Why a Block

One Square Cut Instead of a Miter

No Miters

Casing or crown runs butt square into the block. Out-of-square openings stop showing.

Sized to the Casing

Proportioned to the casing widths it pairs with, so the reveal works without shimming.

Paint or Stain

Poplar ships unfinished; prime and paint with the trim, or stain to match.

Same Lumber as the Mouldings

Milled from the same NHLA-graded, kiln-dried stock as the moulding collections.
